Our mission is to provide financial assistance and support to Lyme and tick-borne disease patients 26 years of age and older who are in crisis. We do this through grants and counseling in an effort to stem the tide of Lyme-related suicides. According to Dr. Joseph Jemsek (MD from Washington, DC), “The most common cause of death in Lyme disease is suicide.” Through our efforts and support through generous donations and sponsors, we hope to put this reality in the past.
To be eligible for a grant from our foundation, a patient must adhere to the following criteria:
- Be a United States citizen currently living in the United States
- Have a provable financial or medical need
- Have an official diagnosis or positive Western Blot test
- Be 26 years of age or older
Once you fill out our grant application form, we will be in touch with you to let you know if you qualify and if so, the possible timing of the impending grant.
In the meantime, our foundation also offers free counseling and help with treatment protocols. We never offer medical advice, but we can supply patients with the latest information from respected practitioners in the Lyme community. For this service, please fill out our Contact Us form.
